Ankita Shivgan

Ankita supports all of our Administration and Accounts work. She also supports the staff in field work and design work for our ‘Child Friendly Police’ initiative in Mumbai. Ankita has been volunteering with various local NGOs for last few years  that works with children in the bastis in Goregaon. She regularly participates in street plays and is also the Vice-President with the Rashtra Sevadal, Goregaon chapter. She holds a Bachelors in Arts (Economics).

Deepali Bandgar

Deepali is part of our ‘System Strengthening’ project in Solapur district.

Gautam Wagh

Gautam is part of our ‘System Strengthening’ project in Nandurbar district.

Leela Patade

Leela is the Program Lead of our ‘Child Friendly Police’ initiative in Mumbai. She is a seasoned social worker with 17 years of experience in the Child Rights and working on violence faced by women. Leela has worked as case worker in crisis helpline (Childline), has extensively worked with children, conducted home tracing for found children, community outreach and has worked with a shelter for homeless young women. She is passionate about strengthening the existing governmental systems to make an impact. Leela is a trained para professional and counselling from Nirmala Niketan.

Joseph Pinto

Joseph is the Field Officer of our ‘Child Friendly Police’ initiative in Mumbai. He has been in the social sector for 15 years. He has worked with shelter homes for young boys, emergency helpline for children, and child rights organization. Joseph has experience in conducting rescue operations of children working as child labour, social worker for the children in shelter home, and conducting advocacy on child rights. He has a deep understanding of the ground reality and adopts innovative approaches to spread awareness about child protection in communities.

Santosh Shinde

Santosh is the Director and Founder of Vidhayak Bharti. He has been a Child Rights activist for the last 25 years. He is currently the member of Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MSCPCR). He was also the consultant for child protection to UNICEF. Member of Mumbai High Court Committee for the protection of Children. Member of Task force against child labour. Santosh has taken numerous trainings on child rights and protection for the High Court judges, CWC members, Police, NGOs, etc.

He is passionate about writing and apart from numerous articles and SOPs, he has also published a book on issue of  Child Trafficking in Marathi (Bal Vyapar). Santosh holds a Masters in Social work.

Shivraj Karale

Shivraj is the district coordinator of our ‘System Strengthening’ project in Solapur.

Smita Lopes

Smita is the Project Coordinator of our ‘System Strengthening’ project in Solapur and Nandurbar.

Snehal Rane

Snehal is part of the Mumbai team. Snehal has been working on child rights and child protection issues since 2002. He comes with specialised experience and knowledge of child labour rescue, home tracing, working with children’s homes and tobacco control. He has worked in Maharashtra and other states in India as well. Snehal regularly facilitates sessions on Juvenile Justice Act, child rights and child protection with police department, other voluntary organisations and schools.


Vaishali oversees Monitoring & Evaluation and Documentation of our ‘Child Friendly Police’ initiative in Mumbai along with field work. She has been working professionally in the social sector since 5 years starting as a teacher in a residential school in Bihar. She has also worked in a shelter home for violence survivors. A feminist, she believes in rights based social work and is passionate about restorative justice, education, gender and sexuality awareness. Vaishali holds a Masters in Elementary Education and a Diploma in Experential Education.

Virendra is part of our ‘System Strengthening’ project in Nandurbar district.
